Just consider it a part of reefing, and invest in a magfloat. Makes it much easier. BTW -If your not testing your phosphates with a photometer then your results are most likely inaccurate

Only certain ones. Long nose are usually a good bet, plus they're good in a reef. Always add the shrimp first and the fish you think might eat it later. Just seem to have better luck this way. I think when fish see you dump in the shrimp it's kinda like feeding time

I'd stay away from the angels. I've had too many reef safe ones still pick at stuff over the years. Try a school 3-4 chromis or 2-3 fire fish. Maybe a hawk fish?

I totally agree. Ive had clams of all kinds and sizes through the years and never fed anything in the tank but the fish. Lost 2 out of prob 10 or so. def not the light then

What watts were the lights before and after, and how far is it from the lights? Clams do go fast when they go though, atleast the ones that didnt make it for me did
