    How I spent RAP

George, you need to provide me your inlaws phone number....they got ripped off. Since Trex is made of 50% recylced wood and 50% recycled plastic, they should have only paid for half the costs. :o And I'm not sure when the "plastic" anniversary is. Oh, and Happy Anniversary.

Wow Mark, you have a big fish tank with a diving board! The next years MACNA is announced at the present years MACNA. So they are most likely taking applications for 2017 now (but don't tell Ed.)

I just re-read your post and I'm already in my car driving to your house to beat some sense into you. No more MACNA's!!!!! One and done! We had a very unique group of people then, with some unbelievable skills. I'm not sure we have that now.....sorry.

    New Filter

After 36 years (actually longer because that's as long as we've owned the house) the filter on the 20K gallon tank in the backyard required change. I've been milking this thing the past couple years. This year, on start up, it coughed, and I told the wife I'm not even opening it up. My...

    Collecting amphipods

The picture of all those snails reminded me of an incident with a local reefer who collect snails here in NJ. He would break out with dermatitis, and for the longest time blamed it on zoa/paly toxins. A couple times he ended up in the hospital. Eventually....and I'm talking more than a...

Rob's time for an upgrade 180

There is no need to test nitrite. Nitrite is of no concern for saltwater creatures. Even if you see it's there, it has no impact on the tank.

Rob's time for an upgrade 180

That needs to be GE Silicone I......NOT II. And you need to let it cure for as long as you can.....3 days in nice, 5 days is better.

    I've not seen this before...

Chris, I'm confused....what do you mean you used the bayer stuff. Bayer Complete Insecticide is a coral dip and not a tank treatment. Explain please.

    Grill Mat

Gee-whiz James, maybe my Goldilocks method of choosing a grill is flawed. The Vermont Casting (closest to you), was tooooo big. The Master Forge (at the end), was tooooo small. But the Ducane (right in the middle), was just right. The veggies were cooked on the Ducane.
