What ever you use you'll probably end up with a lot of jagged edges. I rub the eggcrate on the concrete floor of my basement a few times to smooth it out.

I have a 48" x 24" x 10" high frag tank with a bare bottom. Do any of you guys have a sand bed in you frag tank? Any opinions on whether or not it would be beneficial to have one?
