Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Read about this on another site. Apperently you upload all your tank info and it helps keep track of your tank and keep it healthy. You can even input into a controller. I am sure some of you reef geeks will enjoy this.

Damsels used to be the way to cycle the tank because of how hardy they were. They were one of the few fish that could survive a cycle and if not they were a cheap fish. Now you don't need damsels to cycle and if you keep them they can be aggressive little guys.
Just do some research on the...
Sorry I did not get back to you, www.tropiquarium.com is there website for address directions. BTAs where I think 60 but they have a 25% off sale on all livestock, corals and live rock. They have really nice stuff in right now, don't know if sale is going on might be worth a phone call and a...
I guess you can say I use a modified two part with brightwell elemental and brightwell alk 9.3. They were recommended to me by a fellow reefer who had amazing growth. So far so good, and we have some good growth in our sps and some color has come back to other frags. The good thing about...
Don't know where you are located but Tropiquarium had beautiful GBTA in this week. I was this close to pulling mine out and buying a new one. They had some nice striped ones with pink tips and ones that look paint splattered.
AO is Aquatic Obsessions which you will find down in the sponsors area. They will post their new arrivals on a weekly or so basis. The trip is about 45 mins each way (exit 127 off the parkway). We only do that maybe every other month if they have something we want. Nice frag tank too and good...
ORA is the largest fish breeder in the country. Gold assesor basslets wild caught go for 100-150$, ORA fish will be around 50$. I live in Brielle and also go to Trop for most things but started to go to Reef to Reptiles more and more. Just stay on 35 north you will pass trop on your left and you...
Since I know you just sold an angel and a clown I will not recommend them. If you are looking for peaceful I have to agree with qwick, get a bunch of gobies. If your tank is covered, you can look at firefish. My bangaii cardinals are as peaceful as it gets. My gold assesor basslets are peaceful...
As long as you have hermits they will kill snails. I have it happen in my 12g and don't take them out. Erring on the side of caution is a good thing, but you should be fine. The only thing you can do is add some empty shells to keep them away from your snails.
Forgot to add, you may want to look into a HOB refugium (CPR makes good ones). While there is a sort of split consensus on these (some people think they are algae factories, other have no algae), if you are going sumpless they help. We have one on our thirty and one on our twenty (and will have...
Good Luck with the tank, I have heard 40 breeders are great tanks. Also have to commend you for having a plan before you start, always easier that way. A few comments:
Lighting: That will be fine, how far off the tank are you going to hang it?
Filtration: Don't know anything about that protein...
Unless you have a bad case of bubble algae I would not recommend the emerald crab. I have had nothing but problems with them and I have also read of other people on here having big problems. It would be a shame to add one when it really won't solve any problems for you and might create some.
Thanks Rod. We will all have to get together at some point and I am always up for a beer. I am sure you were not the only one trying to steal that tank from us. It is even more impressive in person.
Well here are some pics for you zoa lovers out there.
Greg here are your frags:

Here is what the nuclear greens and purple deaths looked like...
We recently bought a piece of live rock because it had some feather dusters on it and put it in the 20g. That night when the actinics went on we saw Christmas tree worms sticking out on the other side. We have since put them up top to see them better.

Wanted to show some of the growth...
