Does anyone use RODI replacement filters from somewhere else OTHER than BRS? Cheaper? Any quality issues? I have a six stage and like everything else prices just keep climbing. Thanks in advance.

Have one I got from a fellow reefer. Haven’t even used it yet

Personally I have plenty of extras. Replace with new and toss in a bucket with lid sealed. Once I am low on socks I dump that nastiness in the washer and run on hot with bleach! Then I run another cycle with some dechlorinator. Then one more for good measure. Remove and air dry.

Many flosses contain phosphates though. You can’t win!!!

first step they should have water tested! —-your well may have a lot of co2 which will tear through the di. If this you case you will need an extra step with a ro holding container. This container needs to have an air stone to remove the co2. Then pump through di resin.

@Sandeep, are you on a well? There are potentially other factors. I know SumpnFishy has mentioned it a few times. Hardness or something.
