It's hard to see with the blues on, is it a hair algae issue? Everything looks purple in the video so it's hard to tell

I'm personally not 100% convinced on any of the algae studies/findings by twillard on r2r, but that's just me

Worse case, if it tripped the ato after running, it may have dropped your salinity slightly......but nothing to where it would crash your tank. Test your salinity and see where you are with the protein skimmer on.

Red Sea has a colors kit that you can use to dose iodine (A).....which is what I use. I too put in a couple of drops in my tank after I do my weekly water changes. Seems to help but can't confirm. The protein skimmer shouldn't have a drastic affect on your tank unless the unit is "oversized"...

Sure I'll take the kalk....thanx bud For me, I've been using kalk since day 1 with no real Ill effects and with my small set up, it's easier to use rather then dosing....

yea i was looking at that as well...that tub alone will run me about $100. i was also looking at hydroponic flood tables which were about half the price
