I have had fish for 40+ years. I have not really thought about ever getting out. So for me it is strange to see people come and go. Minus a few years in college I have always had fish. Two of three tanks have fish spawning and all is pretty good...some general upkeep but no real hard work...

How about a old fashion reflector like on T5 or MH. You could make the reflector out of copper with a coating on the inside.

MPs have the battery backup which is huge for protection just in case. I think both would be best solution on a bigger tank.

Nope not yet ... what are you using to hold the water for cooling? PS I was thinking more of copper getting into the tank somehow and causing problems that way.

Paul, just asking because every party needs a pooper. Are you concerned about the copper being close to the tank? I am sure you did but just in case.
