I would agree ...since you are that close to hypo salinity just match their salinity and then drop it down for the QT period then raise it back up very slowly. You will kill two birds with one stone that way.

I have seen refugiums made out of canister filters. Usually it involves some sort of waterproof light and a drill. Not sure enough light would go through the plastic to promote growth. I have also seen a window added.

OK so I picked up my worms from Paul the other day and commented on his skimmer being quieter. He has a muffler on his. He asks why don't you put one on yours? DUH I thought of it but *!^$* that I am I never tried.....so 15 minutes later on Sunday my skimmer went from a loud beast to a quiet...
