I am intentionally staying home for B.

So hooked up the pump yesterday got a great deal on one and added the battery backup from AO. Question I have is for me the battery backup doesn't set all the way in on the controller. Is this normal? PS thanks Mike for the tutorial...I have it on yellow.

Was talking to Mike about this yesterday...it used to be that a 4 ft tank was a perfect size because all the fixtures predominately 4ft...at least the T5s. But now like with Mikes tank 5 feet is not big deal you just add another unit of LEDs. So maybe a bigger 5 or 6 foot tank?

Thanks George, Think I am going to go the Ecoxotic route .....no timetable so hunt around for bargains or wait for buy or something like that. Makes the most sense from a cost, time, flexibility sense.

Yep that was what Ethan suggested too. Seems to be a reasonable and easy solution. I can maybe string some of the two different strips the what are they the stunners and the pros? Might be the way I go.

Good point a pair of oscars are not exactly going to thrive in that tank. I do figure on doing little fish most likely salt or fresh, little guy is pretty set on it. Which also means I need to build a stand for him. But will wait till I have a better plan for that. Of course the other option is...

I am more south american guy with cichlids but that might not be a bad idea. The idea is what I was getting at though that I will not need reef lighting.

+1 on that ..if you have deep water stuff then temp is cooler. Mine is 76.4 pretty consistant...summer it heads higher but with the LED I only remember a couple days when it was over 80 this year. (When the wife opened all the windows and the house got warmish)

Any fish can be sensitive to change, I got a pair of cardinals from AO that he had for 6M I have yet to see them eat after 2 days. For sure they are healthy and all acclimation was done over the right amount of time. And they are in a 120 G tank with a pair of clowns that are in the opposite...
