I have a Mag 12 for me it has been reliable. You will take up a lot of room with the two Mag 9.5. Think the dimensions are the same of the top of my head 7x5x4 or something like that. So heat, space, energy....better to get one pump. I am not familiar with external pumps but basically you plumb...

I am looking for a good feed pump for my skimmer to replace the cheaper one that it came with. The main pump is a beast but the feeder pump stalled on me. >:( I could also put on a second skimmer sort of pump(needle wheel) but want to keep the power usage down as much as possible.

Magnet bases are pretty key. I have to get some for my MJs that I have. That is a 20 dollar cost per deal just for the magnets.

Well AO is closest and couple nice sales on fish. Or you could do Red Sand and OG II because they are so close so you get two for one.
