Andrew is very nice and informative. PetTco is doing $1 a gallon so 5g tank for $5 is not bad.

I was looking at these for my new build. Question I cannot get answered is can they support the reef bulbs? Meaning will it output 100% of the bulb or less? heard cheap T5 fixtures only output 65%. Just curious.

Welcome back Jon. It's all your own preference. I have T5 and switched to Led when the fixture died. I don't truly care for Led and should have stuck with T5. Most people have a hybrid Led and T5. Good luck.

How do you place it in the shell? Turkey baster, eye dropper? If I place it in the shell and put in tank it will float off.

I knew that right now I have to slow. I have a foam sponge that will fit over it and then turn it up. I just threw a little clump of cualerpa in the tank and they went right at it. Guess some pods they saw. The cualerpa probably cannot take the cold temp but short term should help with feeding.

How does the food stay in the shell?

Also have to consider temperature, cold need heat packs. If it's hot not sure what can be done if anything.

So tank is running. No gravel yet as I some one suggested dry sand. Going to research first.
