pumps were very quiet and they do move a lot of water. With the controller i think they are worth it. I just hate that they cost substantially more than pumps themselves

I know and i have been looking and thinking about getting it for years, I just can't justify the price vs my eheim.

So basically when i am away, i can use my $25+ auto feeder to work with my Apex system without having to buy an AFS for $100.

Then just added the last line of code to each piece of equipment that i want. In this case the 2x crossflow pumps

So i renamed the un-used tile to "auto feeder" Then just set it to turn on during a certain time frame

Auto Feeder So, currently i do not own a Neptune Apex AFS. With its high price tag, and mixed reviews (more bad than good) for the most part i have stayed away from it. So instead, when i go away for an extended period time, I use my old reliable Eheim Auto Feeder...
