That place went downhill FAST. I counted 4 kids working in the store and ALL of the saltwater tanks were covered in red slime. It was so bad I may go back tomorrow and take pics. Its a shame, That was one of my top stores I bought from.
I normally post on RC, but most of them are jack-asses there. NJ reefers seem more educated anyway.

Hey.. A little while ago I posted about directly introducing co2 into the skimmer to lower my pH. It was working fantastically. co2 on at 8.4, off at 8.35. Great. Santa was nice to me and I got a MTC Procal. It recomends 1 bubble/sec and flow of .05. Got it dead on balls accurate. I have...
I recommend the CR-5 over the CR-6. I have found from personal use that the dual chamber units are ineffective and require the recalculating pump to work harder then necessary. The second chamber does not successfully buffer the the PH and aragonite in the chamber does not adequately dissolve...
Hey all.. I am looking to piece together a calcium reactor.
1) When I am looking for a tank valve, I find different types. Some with 1 gauge, some with 2. Which should I buy and what do they tell you. Some have bubble counters built in. Can this be added later or do I need to buy a complete...
For those of you in north jersey... Absolutely Fish has macro algae for $5 a fist full. Seems like a very good deal. They have fern algae and grape caulerpa. Also thier annual midnight madness sale is this friday. I've never been to one but I've heard it gets really busy then.
Well I got home just in time. My sump was 80% full tonight because my float valve got stuck somehow. I am looking for an additional float to wire in series so that both have to be on for the solenoid to activate. Ebay is selling 10 lots but I only need 1. Anyone have an extra one that they want...
I recently found this guy and he is in Totowa. http://www.drdansaquascaping.com I've been in this hobby for many years and I always learn something new from him. When I have a problem and follow his advice I have nothing but success. When I am looking for a new fish he'll order it, aclimate it...
This question probably has been asked 1,000,000 times but I am up to that stage now. I am interested in growing brine shrimp. I wanted to populate my 100 gal fuge with baby brine shrimp so they can multiply like pods. I was looking into hatch systems and found this...
I have 210 reef, 100 fuge, 70(30 part filled) sump, and potentially 110 tank (unsure about the contents, probably fowlr)
340 gallons current
450 gallons potentially
Linked system.
I have no experience with these, someone send me in the right direction. Thanks...
I never owned a calcium reactor. I am looking into different models and none seem to come with co2. Where would I buy a canister and are they refillable like propane. If they are refillable where would I go? Can anyone offer me some direction?
Now that I have my 210 reef newly setup and almost settled.
My 110 Fish only is looking a bit old.
My new project I want to start is a little complex. Both of these tanks are in the living room. Under this room I have a 4'L x 6'W x 3'H area under my stairs. I was going to plumb from the...
