Im using the redsea alk test kit.. Its showing the higher range and looks to be above 4meq/l... Is it a bad thing if its on the higher side?

Thanks for all the replys.. i currently have 192 watt PC's on my tank and am very interested in the T5's.. Do they give a nice blue look? and also are they cheaper and cooler then metal halides?? and would any ebay brands be safe to try??

just wondering if anyone always keeps a constant source of carbon in there sump.. I only use it once in a while, i always thought it would take away from my additives such as calcium and any food i use for my corals. Do any of you keep it in there all the time?? thanks in advance

The same thing is happening to me... I think its due to the dry air and the heaters being on drawing moisture from the tank... Im having to top off a lot more regularly than say i would in the summer time..
