depends on your tank. really. some benefits is providing food for things like copepods, some starfish and all clams and filter feeders. really i think the phytoplankton is not necessary for most tanks but if you have ULN tank then its great because it will raise your nitrates and phos.How much do you dose per gallon of tank daily?

no worries. its good stuff, i originally got it from a farm in florida. completely sterile and i've kept it that way. I've also stored it 5+ months in 30-40 degree temp. we're going to try to get down your way in the next week or two. waiting for things to settle out in the tank.Thanks pal!
