I'd suggest you keep this salt and use it during your transition. 1/3 IO to 2/3 your new salt on each water change. That's what I'm doing using up the RC i have left.

+1. It also helps to use during accidents, such as a dosing pump on for too long. Or in my case, using it to bring down mag. I would also take it if you were closer.

Any reason for mixing the two salts together? I'm switching to coralife which has parameters closer to where my tank runs.
