Thanks guys! Unfortunately capturing the colors with leds on my phone is hard, so the orange filter really helps. I am trying so hard to resist buying a larger tank and turning my biocube into a lps/sps frag tank to qt new sps.

Great looking stuff.
The only thing about change is, you have that tank cruising along and looking beautiful.
That may or may not be the case if you change.
What to do?
Ahhhhhhh, go big for sure. Lol

I would still keep the biocube running at its current address and then move frags from some corals over to the new tank and see how they go. I have made a 75 gallon move once to a completely fresh 75 with dry rock and all fresh water and the corals exploded with growth that it seemed to almost out compete the initial diatome outbreak. Since most of the big sps are on big boulders they will also be moved so a lot of bacteria and critters will also make the move there.

I think this forum needs more coral pictures!! I need to see what sps everybody has, I need to trade off some of these corals for more!

Clipped some tips to document how the colors change under less intense leds, will sell these frags later at some point. The longer frag is the cc Disney jr which keeps more teal and purple and the smaller ones are the Disney which is just overall bright as heck.

Got it from pirates reef down in Florida. And which yellow? The rr Pink Floyd is on the way right and the top middle two are Walt Disney’s variants and then there is a pink lemonade in there to.

Wow great tank! I was wondering is your tank bare bottom or sand? I’m cycling my 32 biocube and recently bought a jebao cross flow pump from Jgraz and love the pump but even at the lowest setting it’s pushing sand from the sides. Any suggestions? I’d rather not get rid of the sand if I don’t have to. My daughter loves watching the nassarius snails emerge at feeding time.

Howdy, I do have sand but I can’t recall what kind of sand it was however it generally stays where I put it. I have a lot of rock which breaks up the flow and diverts it. I have a gyre 2k in the tank to to 50 percent and a mp10 also set to 50 percent. It’s tough but you just got to find the setting that fits and the directional flow where it intersects your return pump so it randomizes at that spot.

thanks I guess I am going to have to play with it. I have another jebao pump that I’m going to have to play with to break up the flow like you said. I’m curious as to the filtration you have? I too want to take the lid off and put led’s but I’m not sure what to get yet. I wish they made an 18” t5 hybrid.

For filtration I have the original filter that the biocubes come with ( the black plastic with white filter floss) however mines many years old so I have ripped off the white floss which leaves just the black hard plastic. I then have a cloth sock that I randomly throw new carbon in and occasionally use a poly filter on top. Under the black grate and the whole back is loaded with calurpa since flow through the back is not optimal for cheato, and some random flood light bulb that I found in my basement that is atleast 10 years old and hasn’t burn out yet. The tank is really a cheap “ghetto” thrown together tank that has just worked when you leave things alone.

Stopped home to see the tank, it’s been on cruise control. I feed brine twice a week and do a water change. That’s about it lol.

Here is a close up of the cherry bomb, I find it crazy how close up a phone camera with a cheap clip on macro lense can get you.
