90G tank hood

Anyone have any experience with Sedona hoods? http://www.thatpetplace.com/pet/prod/237497/product.web.
I need a new hood for my 90G and this one comes for $150 including shipping. Is DIY going to be significantly cheaper ?

My biggest hands on aquarium project till date has been replacing the inlet tube of my HOB refugium with a clear acrylic pipe :p. Not too bad with assembly though since most of my furniture including my bed and the the stand for my TV I assembled myself. (.... yeah I realise I just managed to make myself sound more retarded )

...bottom line, I dont have a garage or tools and am really sceptical about building the hood.

I think that, including shipping is a good price. By the time you do it twice (because we I mean you may goof up the first time) it will cost you enough money, not to mention the paint, time painting, staining, sanding, fixing it, etc. LOL.

First thing I would do is find out what the inside height is,and depending on your lighting it may not work. Most prefab canopys are only 6-8" high overall which wouldnt allow the use of MH.

MikeM also builds a mean hood. I bet it would be cheaper than 150.

This one is probably nine inches high. Phyl, thanks for the suggestion. I'll contact MikeM and find out if he is free to help me out.
