I don't make a gallon at a time. I use a magnetic stirrer. I place 900ml of rodi water in a pyrex beaker and turn on the stirrer. With the stirrer on max, I place one leveled spoon of AFR at a time...waiting about a minute between each spoon. 6 spoon total.

I’ve been using it I just didn’t remember the exact mixing method, I’m putting it in a dosing container this last me a long time as I use kalkwasser as primaryi also use a magnetic stirrer for the initial mixing and i also have one that i rigged up to the dosing container that goes on every 6 hours to keep things suspended as i find some trace elements will settle if you mix a large batch and dont use it up after awhile.
if this is the first time using AFR, just test continually for the first week or 2 to make sure levels stay where they are and make and adjustments to cal/alk/and mg with individual solutions since if you use AFR to increase alk, it will also increase the other 3.
i've moved away from AFR though and used KALK and back to 3 part for adjustments
I probably end up getting one of theseI am using a magnetic stirrer also.
They got very affordable, I think I paid a little over 20 for mineI probably end up getting one of these
