Allquatics in Hamilton/Bordentown/Trenton

Hey Guys,

Carlo turned me on to this place a while back...

Today, I left work early to head to The Hidden Reef in PA. However, the weather was terrible, and the turnpike was rolling slooooow. So, I called Allquatics while I was sitting in traffic. I wanted to get some 'verts, and an emerald crab or two was a definite necessity. They said they had 2 or 3 left, and they were $6.99.

Then, I decided to call The Hidden Reef. They said they had 2 or 3 as well, but they wanted $7.99 for them.

So, I decided to forgo the long haul and go to Allquatics instead.

I ended up getting:

An Emerald Crab
8 Nassaurius snails
7 red legged hermits
a small sand sifting starfish
a fire shrimp

It turns out they're having a 'summer sale' of 20% off all saltwater livestock.

I walked out of there with all those creatures and a receipt for ~$50.

I'm a happy camper. The staff was really helpful, they had a great deal on that shrimp ($20 after sale) and everything I needed!

Highly recommended...and my new favoritest store!

:)

It's not a bad store at all. I just wished they had more "salty" stuff since it's the closest store to my house.

Once thing I'll tell you is, NOT to go there for salt. Talk about high prices! $46 for a bucket of IO, $73 for Tropic Marin (not pro), $53 (or so) for Reef Crystals...

It might be my imagination but for a small store they get some really unusual fish in at times. They have a Yellow Rhino there right now for $299 that I've been eyeing for a few weeks. Talk about a really unusual looking fish!

Yeah, that guy is pretty crazy. I was eyeballing him, too.

I almost added on a lil' Maxima at the end, since they're only like $25 on sale. But, I didn't. I think my tank is going to get real crowded, real fast as it is.

Ha. I just downsized my tank, and i'm pretty happy with the size...just hard to be patient and let the frags have time to fill it up.

That being said, my display tank is about 1/3 of your sump. HA!

Which part of my "sump", the 40g skimmer box, 55g for the reactors/filters/uv or the 150g return tank? I'm filling up a 300g stock tank as we speak (RO/DI never fast enough) to fill with rock that will technically be part of my "sump" too. :)
