Well, I had the day off work on Friday, and decided to take a ride from Edison to Allquatics. I walk into the store and I am greeted by a guy named Mike, he asked if I needed any help. I told him I was looking into a nano cube. The guy spent a half hour with me discussing nano's, larger tanks and everything in between. He was very knowledgeable, willing to share info and technique. I was really impressed with the service so far.
Now on to Carlo, I spoke with him and told him I was looking for flat pieces of live rock to finish off my aquascaping. He told me there was not much left and that they would be getting a shipment soon. He takes me over to the LR tanks and starts going through what was there looking for the type of shapes I was looking for. I thinking this takes customer service to a new level. He winded up finding me 25lbs of the shapes I was looking for, pulled out his brush and started cleaning the rock for me. I was now taken back on customer service.
After the LR, he talked to me about chemicals, fish, tanks, the store setup, his personal tanks, and everything else related to the hobby. This guy spent well over an hour with me, He was extremely knowledgeable, and a super nice guy.
For the first time in a long time I walk out of a store with a smile and a good feeling about a place. That seams hard to find these days in this hobby. They had a great inventory of product that you would have to normally mail order. I was extremely please with my visit. I am already planning my next trip there
