Any wholesalers in the area open to the public?

I always hear about people going to wholesalers and picking up stuff from them.

Any wholesaler around here open to the public? I live in Monmouth County but could easily drive an hour or two to check out a good wholesale facility and pick up some fish and/or coral.

I've never heard of any wholesalers letting people in,if they're retail clients caught wind of them doing this I don't think they would have them anymore.
I deal with numerous wholesalers and none of them allow walkins unless you can produce your buisness lic. and tax #.

Could just be people that spout off such things to act like big shots, but I must say that I've heard it quite a bit.

I do know of one in California that does walk-ins, but obviously nothing in the Tri-state area.

There are people that have friends that own shops and take people with them.
I've done so in the past,in california they maybe trans-ship centers that allow walkins.

When I worked in a shop about 15 years ago the staff would take a ride to a wholesaler on RT 17. The wholesaler would let us buy stock as a favor because the LFS bought so much stuff from him. But we had to purchase a minimum amount and pay cash.
So to answer your question, no wholesalers around here don't allow walk ins. You need a buisness lic. and tax # and even then you may only be allowed in certain days.
