Anyone buy Dr.Mac's live rocks yet?

Hi guys, I'm new here and just started a 26g custom cube build. Been looking at a good live rock source. I've noticed the southeast asian live rocks Dr.Mac is selling. Looks good from the pics but has anyone have experience with these yet? I will also be going to Hidden Reef later in the week to see what they have as well. I guess just like everyone I just want some quality rocks with good coraline and plenty of life. By the way does anyone have rocks for sale close by Princeton area?
Thanks for the help guys ;)

Also forgot to mention that I was looking at rocks from Premium Aquatics as well. What's everyone's take on this..which place has better quality?

welcome!

no experience with either but another alternative would be "dry" rock from Marco Rocks.

A 26g shouldn't require a lot of LR...with the shipping and all - you may be better off checking out the LFS. Just be warned that I've seen new folks hit the store but come back with rock cover in Aiptasia.

Thanks Hawkeye. I'm actually gonna head to The Hidden Reef this Wednesday to check things out. Hopefully they'll have some good rocks. If not, I'm contemplating about driving down to Maryland and checking stuff out from Dr. Mac's..was just thinking its about 3 1/2 hour drive but I can also pickup some good frags that I've been meaning to get from them and just leave it in my other nano tank until the cube cycles in. I guess if I do head down there, anyone that is close to me can order from them and I'll offer to bring it back free of charge since I'll be there anyway..I met a lot of great reefers in Orlando and would like to meet some locals here as well. But that's of course if I do decide to go down there. I'll let everyone know this weekend if anyone is interested.

Ed's nearby and has good rock. Stay away from Allquatics in Hamilton, their rock is covered in Aiptasia. Another online source that get's rave reviews is sealifeinc.net When I do a large tank in the future I'll be ordering from them.

Thanks guys for the suggestions. I did see the rocks from sealife but am afraid I might get some unwanted hitch hikers with the good stuff as well. So I'm still a little hesitant on them plus they look pretty solid and not porous.

Ed, I need about 25lbs. or so..so what kind do you have and and how much? Can you pm me? Thanks again.

By the way I would love to go to the meeting but I have to fly this weekend. So hopefully I can make it to the following one. Where can I find info on meetings?

Dr. Mac has beautiful Rock. I took a drive and picked up 125 Lbs when I started my tank 3 years ago.
Beautiful colors, shapes, and it's worth the trip to check out the facility. If not just ship it, it will be here next day.

I have the Tonga Fusion "Nuku" rock. I don't see it on the website anymore...

Too late Erid, I just got some totoka and figi from Hidden Reef earlier tonight. Just filled the tank and waiting for the clouds to subside ;D
