Stupid freakin' pilot light won't stay on!!!


It does this every 3 months or so, and then all of a sudden it starts working again. I think I may need a new thermostat.

I also need a new AC unit, I ain't spending another summer with $400 electric bills for a 800 sq foot condo. sheesh

It may not be your thermostat. May just be the thermo-coupler. That is what keeps the pilot lit. I would definitely check that first.

I got a digital thermastat that I can set with a timer and that changed my bill a lot.

LOL sure. whatever piece of equipment that is. Can I hook up my aquacontroller to this?


Seriously, the HVAC system is about 25+ years if not older, I think it's time anyways...

You could try PMing Jer1198. He's down by you and into HVAC. He could probably recommend someone if nothing else.

I have this stupid switch on mine that requires me to remove a hose and put it back on every now and then to keep the furnace running. I thought that was some "feature" of newer systems though. Not sure what yours could be with the pilot going out (does't sound like a thermostat issue).
