Go with post #2 instead of the denitator. Find out why your nitrates are to high and go with a good skimmer and water changes. Truth is if you have a good skimmer, enough rock, no bio balls, and don't overfeed, you will have negligible nitrates even without water changes.

That looks like a PITA!! Injecting vodka once a week isnt so bad, but you need to keep readjusting the drip rate every couple of days.

Doug's advice re Skimmer and Water Changes is right on. But, I know from experience that everyday living and the logistics of
making regular water changes on a consistent basis make doing so very difficult at best. In my case, RO/DI production and storage are Downstairs while the tank is Upstairs at the opposite end of the house. Envision buckets, siphon tubes, mixing pump, bad back
and you get the picture....I don't always get to change the water as often or when I should. As a result I too am looking at using a denitrifier. Phyl's experience and Carlo's advice seems to be both effective and relatively inexpensive.

I myself prefer the sulfur denitrator over water changes for the purpose of lowering nitrates and think its healthier for the tank too instead of having nitrates bouncing around between the water changes.
