Anyone using Seachem Marine buffer?

My PH is around 8 and the alkalinity is 10.
I was thinking to use Seachem Marine buffer for buffering the PH.
Any inputs if it works or not? Any negatives of using it?

I use it and it works great, just mix it in a bowl or cup for a while in RO/DI water and poor it into the sump.Once you get the pH where you want it which it only goes to 8.3 or 8.4 cant remember which one it is,you only have to add it in every now and then to keep the pH up, if you pH is still going down try aerating your mixed salt water before you add it in.If that doesn't work maybe its your salt....

Thanks. I just tried it. I mixed it in RO water and poured in the sump. I will check the PH tomorrow morning.

You should NOT be using this in a reef tank. Even SeaChem does not recommend it. It is for FOT tanks, where balance is not really an issue.. It will jack up your Alk to high and give false high Alk readings due to the excessive Borate it has. You DO NOT add buffers for pH, only Alk,.However, if there is an issue with both low pH and Alk then a buffer is fine for a one shoot boost,where baked baking soda, aka,. Soda Ash, should be used.. Finally, this buffer will mess up the ability to maintain proper Alk, pH, Mg++ and Ca++ levels.
