Aquarium Silicone for fraging?

I ran out of super glue gel while i was in the middle of fragging my zoa's and shrooms... So i found some aquarium silicone in my closet and i was wondering if it might work, Has anyone used it?

Thank you in advance,

~Nick

i wouldnt try it ..it seems to me that it would irritate them too much and possibly cause them to stay closed.
you could leave them in a small container of tank water until you get more crazy glue gel.they sould be fine for a day or two
..... or you could tie them to rubble rock or frag disks with either fishing line or thread.

happy fragging.....al

Silicone puts out acetic acid as it cures. Notice the vinegar smell as it cures? Corals are not going to like that.

Glad i asked. Yeah i know what you mean now that i think about it...
Hmm i guess I'll try some fishing line, most of the zoa's should be ok if i just stick them in a low flow area since they are on a small piece of rock. So with the shrooms should i just lay it on the frag disk and rap fishing line around the base?
Thanks guys,

for mushrooms use a piece of wedding veil (toole) get at any craft store ie. michael...rag shop etc...
put shroom on frag rock and cover with the toole and hold in place with a loose rubber band.. not to tight because it will damage the shroom. just make it tight enough to hold it in place
then put in a low flow area for a few days/week..once it holds remove the toole and your good to go.
happy fragging ......al
