Is he cleaning or tasting?

Question for the list. Can one keep clams with shrimp?

Was he cleaning the shell or picking at the flesh? Shrimp are fine with clams but the minute the clam starts to take a turn for the worse a shrimp will be all over it.

He was on the flesh. But it is hard to say if it was not eating debris off it. I just fed some flake food a few minutes before I noticed. The clam looks okay no signs of death. I really was not sure if shrimp and clams can coexist peacefully.
