Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
one of my ballast suddenly stopped working...anyone know somewhere in northern jersey that i can have this thing looked at?
or any idea what my problem might be?
If the fixture has one or more bulbs, swap bulbs, and if the problem follows the bulb, you need a new bulb. If it stays where it was, you need a new ballast.
Generally, you replace the entire ballast. I would consider this to be a DIY project, but many don't. You shouldn't do it yourself if you don't know what you are doing around electricity.
If you do need to replace a ballast, replace it with an electronic ballast. It will run cooler, and cost far less to operate.
