Why don't you offer to host an NJRC meeting? That way you would be able to get to know people in your area AND help out the club?
That's great! We're always looking for volunteers from our Northern members to host meetings. The club meetings rotate around the state with each month being hosted at a member's home in a different area of the state. Alti is hosting the January meeting (early January, as I recall), The Tiler (Jason) is slated for April and KatLongo has offered to host July. We do need someone for October, if you're interested! If you can't make the December meeting you should try to make the meeting at Alti's shop. Should be quite interesting to see his setup!
Additionally we try to carpool to meetings when they're not on our home turf to cut down on the cost of driving as well as to be able to spend more time chatting reef with the locals.
We're definitely seeing strength in numbers as we do amazing group buys, loads of raffles and lots of fragging. Even though we're geographically diverse we're still one big happy family!

We're all pretty wrapped up in getting ready for December's meeting. The January meeting threads will probably start once Saturday is behind us. Stay tuned. I'm sure there will be a frag trade/sale thread and Alti has stock tanks for our viewing/purchasing pleasure. Our meetings are always rife with frag raffles as well.

Hey whats up kharn101, I and close to Bergen county, I live in Passaic county. I will be attending the January meeting an will try to bring in some frags i have. I hope to see averyone there since i am also new to this forum.

I think there's actually quite a few of us Bergen County people. I'm in River Vale and I know of at least three in the surrounding towns. You should definitely plan to attend the north meetings at the very least. I haven't been able to attend a meeting because of my work schedule but they sound like a lot of fun! I can't wait to attend the January meeting.
