berlin skimmer

I have a berlin skimmer.
It is very touchy with the air intakee and the difference between going full blast and not working at all is a hair click.
I have used the skimmer fr 6 months an had it under control, but after I cleaned it last time there it has been dumping tons of microbubbles back into the water.

Any idea what can I do to the return water to dissipate the bubbles?.. I already have it set to the minimum air it would take and still skim.

I don't have that problem. Are all the hose connections snug? Some people on otehr sites used a sponge to prevent this from what I read.
