I am having a heat issue . It's the time of year for me when my tank gets sunlight/heat but the rest of the house is not warm enough for ac. Actually house is a bit warm but I hate using ac (electricity bill is a killer) this early in the year. I bought a small fan. Should I place it to blow across top of tank between lights and water or over fuge area . Lighting has a built in fan .Every time I think about it I come up with a reason to put it one place or another . I will get another fan if needed just would like some advice where to place the one for now to see if one works .Thanks, Paul

The tank has a greater surface area for evaporation*, so it would have a better impact there. Most people including myself have it blowing over the sump...


*unless your sump is wider and longer than your main tank
