Bio-Magnet Clarifier

I got this small packet of liquid called bio-magnet clarifer with my live sand.....should I add this to my tank? It is supposed to help with cloudiness....but, my tank isn't cloudy....this is the second day of the tank's existance and it looks like someone urinated copious amounts into the tank and the skimmate smells quite foul...but it isn't cloudy....so, should I add this or toss it in the trash?

Thanks!

I just tossed the bio-magnet clarifier in a 10gal tank yesterday. As Calaxa said.. it just made the dust attach to my filter, walls, and heater. My water doesn't smell or look bad, although you can definitely see particles in the water.

I'm guessing you purchased the Ocean Direct LS? Question for you, did it have liquid in it or was it dry? I picked up a 20lb bag of Ocean Direct LS and it was dry.. I also picked up 15lbs of regular sand of the same quality and I honestly couldn't tell any difference. I would have thought that the Ocean Direct LS would have had some liquid in it?

I think this thing is just for the impatient. Yes it clears the water but that soot stays for weeks and is very hard to get rid of since it's all foamy.

well...I'm glad I asked before just going ahead and dumping it in...I tossed it on cal's advice....

ummm....I think it was carib sea aragonite alive....it did have water in it...I mixed that with the dry sand of the same brand that wasn't purported to be alive

I put 200 pounds of the same sand in the tank and it foamed up before I put the clarifier in. What is that crap anyway...LOL. Directions say to mix with water(as I did) and all it looked like was water with a few brine shrimp floating in it! It took me 3 weeks to get rid of the "foam" rim.
