I have searched everywhere with no definitive answers.

How long can you let pellets sit before the bacteria starts to die?

I never shut down my reactor except to clean the reactor, but normal maintenance and feeding I keep it running.

i mistakenly shut mines off for 3-4 days. And by that point the reactor was black and smelled worst than dead people.....
