Does anyone have one- a beautiful fish, hardy, disease resistant and easy. seems like a better choice than a Royal Gramma too

Very beautiful but I had one once. The only time I saw it was when something swam in front of his hidey hole - he would lunge out to chase away any interlopers and then hide again. JMTC.

Similar fish. They are a deeper water species. Kind of ick prone like a royal grammar.

They normally sell for over $100- guess those are tank raised- I found them offered by divers direct for under $50. Guess I'll go in a different direction. I don't need any 'invisible' fish

I bought one cheap and was good size, about 6 inches. I hardly saw it and eventually never saw it again.
