blue tuxido urchin

I had one of these for a about a week before it died. Just a little confused on what might have caused it to die. Checked the water quality and found no issues there and I have other inverts in the form of crabs and snails doing great without any problems. Is it a possibility that my nass. snails decided to eat my urchin? That is the only thing I can think of other than just I happened to get an old one.

Sorry to say not enough information to really know. Could have been a bad one from the store or who knows. The nass snails are just eating the dead carcass that is what they do.

does the tank have any corraline algae? I think mine has actually grown since I added it.

The tank does have some corraline algae. Is that all they eat? What I have read just said algae with no specifics.

i believe they specialize in corraline - it stripes my tank of it. but any regular green algae that is in the way will get demolished too.

Not picky they eat both.
