First time having problems with this type of algae, I would like to try some fish if possible first but if you guys have not gotten good results with a biological method I would try chemical stuff
Any information will be greatly appreciated

I just remove with tongs whenever I see it. I’ve heard that fish/inverts won’t pick at it when the bubble is hard but will eat whatever is left after popping. But I’ve never seen anything eat the bubble including crabs and fish. At least for me, it’s been slow growing.

I was actually in the store today looking for a rabbit fish, but one of the guys told me that they don’t really go for it, and the crabs or not reef save they will eat blastos and zoas and gonis

I have 2 emeralds and 3 pithos in mine and theyre fine with corals. I saw reefco just got some pithos in(not sure how far you are from them)

Yeah, I’ve had emeralds eat corals (stylophora) but not bubble algae. I read that the female emeralds are safer, and they can be sexed by flipping over to look at their carapace. I bought pithos from reef cleaners once, but they didn’t live very long. Currently, I have a couple ruby mithrax crabs that came from TBS. So far they’ve been well behaved but are small.

Had red and green in the past. Yellow tang wiped it out and the only place it survived was in my pump til I changed that. I put an emerald crab in the fuge and I haven’t seen bubble algae in years.

Rabbitfish are definitely hit or miss. I had a Fox Face Lo for a long time who wouldn't touch it till I showed him it was food by knocking it off rocks then he ate it constantly. Emeralds also hit or miss depending on what they can scavenge.
I have a vlamingi Tang who eats it but only if I knock it off surfaces. He refuses to do the work himself :p

I went to absolutely fish to buy one but ended up with 2 wrasses instead, I didn’t want to bring a fish I don’t really want if it’s not going to do the work

They have them for 100$ around 1.5”

I always have a few pop up. Bought 4 emeralds months ago. I think they are still alive and keeping the bubbles in check.

I have had a lot in my past, they often get mistaken for pissing off corals because they are always picking near the base of the coral, but asternas and foxfaces are far more of a nuisance to corals.
