Can I grill Aiptasia?

I have some rocks covered in Aiptasia, I know people boil, bake, microwave em but the wife doesn't want me to use the kitchen so I was thinking I could throw my rock on the grill. Any forseeable problems? Any precautions you think I should take? Roughly how long do you think it would take to kill everything? I'm thinking throw on grill at 450, cook for a bit, flip over, let cool, scrub w/ a toothbrush, rinse off in water, let dry, throw in tank, all good? (tank is new, nothing in it so will be starting the cycle)

Edit: Hmm Nano-reef is making it sound like they wouldn't grill it due to worry of gas smell / like a house fire it taking along time to get the smoke out of the rock & such.

the propane might have a bad side effect. I would soak the rock in hydrogen peroxide. I just used some on a rock to rid it of algae, which worked great. I would think 5 minutes or so should do it.

you might want to look into joes juice. it is amazing stuff. it gets rid of aiptasia right away. i used it on my old tank and it cleared it up. i had probably 5 or 6 and they were cleared out within 15 minutes, and i worked slowly

How about giving it a good rinse with a hose and leave it in the sun for 2 weeks. That would kill the aptasia for sure.

Yeah I'm just going to dry & kill off everything on the rock. I dose'd a whole bottle of Joes Juice, it killed some, others I thought I got were back 2 days later, it also had the unfortunate side effect of once I put the pumps back on blowing off bits & pieces of Aiptasia & I now have 4 growing on the glass & 2 in the sand so I'll have to suction those out w/ my baster & make sure I don't miss any.

I don't blame the Joes Juice, there is an insane amount of them though, it's an Aiptasia colony rock. I'll just eat the $16.50 & let it become base rock, it's some nice shaped rock so I'll reuse it down the line once I'm sure everything is dead.

I wouldn't grill it, as much of a grill man as I am I have to vote against it. Just scrub them off and rinse em good, bake them in sun for a few weeks and your good
