Can Plate Coral / Fungia eat hermits?

I know Plate Corals can get large. Mine is in an optimal spot for pellets to land on it and it wolfs them down daily. My hermits will trample any and all corals in my tank to get to food, they will not walk on the Plate Coral however. Can a Plate Coral eat a hermit? I've seen pictures of a mini carpet anomenemeneneenen eat a snail recently on nano-reef so I know hardshell things aren't always safe from our corals.

i could see a plate if big enough eating a hermit. if they could get the shell in their mouth or in a way that the opening is there then it's probably lunch.

On the reef it's eat or be eaten! Watched my decorator crab fight with my cleaner shrimp. Hour later the crab was movin across the rocks with the shrimp on his back
