I have had this for about 2 weeks now. When I first put it in I could see feeder tentavles extending at nigh but not much any more. Also the heads were some what with drawn and starting to expand but that also stopped. I moved them to different parts of the tank to have less flow and some more light. Any suggestions?

i am having the same problem with mine i have 4 heads and theye are near the top of the tank. with moderate flow. 3 are doig fine but one facing out isnt doing too well. i would say make sure they are facing up. at your light.

I agree. Seems the ones on the bottom center facing up are doing better. The ones on the side not so well even though they are facing up; just getting less light. I was also told to check magnesium level.

MAVL,

I have several different ones but one of them just doesn't do well for me no matter what I do. Some days it looks fantastic, then it just starts to shrivel up. I move it, and the process repeats. The one I am talking about never ever extends feeders. I just don't know what to do with it anymore. He sat in my fuge for the last 2 months healing, then overnight, lost a polyp and all other polyps shriveled. I moved him to another tank now to see if that would help. Maybe yours is just like mine and just can't survive captivity. I got 3-4 other varieties and they blossom so who knows.

i dunno there. i got a piece of 666's recently. don't mean to brag but after a few weeks all of the flesh came out really strong. it is much meatier than when i first got it and now it looks super healthy. it looks as healthy as the trumpet i got from you. i'm suspicous of something diff about 666 water params or light. remember, i had a water param problem that you fixed for me. i think that is also adding to my success.

Jay,
Definitely a water problem. I did a 5gallon tap water change yesterday and add 3 gallons of RO top off. I also added 3ml of Reef Plus. Today the big piece under the light is looking better and other heads started to pop out. Was holding off because I can't make RO in the winter, outside setup. Guess I'll buy some RO from AQOB.

good luck. i'll send pics of mine when i get home. it's really popping. i think, in my little experience, the LPS are more sensitive than softies (shrooms or leather) for water param probs. Then there are SPS that are extremely sensitive. i would stay away from tap water.

take care dude.
