Looks like I owe the guy from MR a thank you. I dipped the clam in RO yesterday to get rid of Pinched Mantle. Today he is fully open after a long time. Now I wonder if the Starry was picking at him because there was some protozoan he was trying to eat. Oh also as soon as I dipped it at least ten or so of those tiny little white starfish fell off, but never noticed them on the outside of the clam.
