my tank has become slowly consumed by brown diatom like algae. i am thinking that it may be partly due to the fact that i havent really keep up with my clean up crew. snails and hermits looking a bit thin. i have used this package in the past-

but at $99 for a 55g, that would be like at least $300 for my 180g.

anyone have a better ideas? i dont have $300 to spend on this.

curious how you liked them as i was thinking of one day placing an order for some of the red tang heaven to round out my maco in the fug. Does the pink cuke do anything?

Anyways - regarding your question - what about just picking up some items from our GB? I know at least one another guy (dave) has conches to help clean the sand bed.

I started with 2 from OG II and I just got 2 more from Reef to Reptiles. I'll probably get another pair (haven't decided yet) for the GB.

With a 180 - I'd get at least 6 of them to help with the sandbed since they are not all that big (from r2r). Get a bunch of snails for the glass/lr.

yeah i a lot of snails and hermits, but i havent added in over a year.

i havent used ipsf in a long time, since i had a55g. but i remember being happy with theit clean up crew and my tangs always loved the macro that they sell. i would like to add some to my fuge and feed my tangs a bit from time to time.

i am looking into the group buy now, i didnt realize there was an invert gb right now, havent been on here much lately.
