Hi all,

Have some kind of bacteria or parasite bloom it looks like, clouded the water. A few fish have died.

If I look really closly I can see billions of micro hair like worms (1-2mm long) swimming in large balls.

any ideas?

Can you get an image for us?
Otherwise all i can say is...
Qt all livestock in separate tank...
Water change...and skim very wet....
Good luck!

How long has the tank been up and running? How long ago did it go through the cycle? How did you cycle the tank? The only time I saw that cloudy look was from an ammo spike.

Parameters are perfect, tank is old and long cycled. These are some kind of organisms they can swim in all directions. A camera could never capture this they are just to small.

I am really starting to lean on the fact I bought a large anemone a week or two prior to this happening that had attached to the plastic transport bag. I ended up ripping open and releasing all the bag water into my tank to get the anemone out.

Anyway, lost half the fish that were in the tank the rest are doing fine now (my 3 year pair of clowns were some of the victims).
