Whats your opinion? pros cons anyone better than the other or worth using?

What kind of supplements were you thinking of, Mike?

The only thing that goes in my tank is the Tropic Marin Bio Calcium or B-Ionic, Magnesium, the occasional oyster eggs, Amino Acids and Coral food by Zeo, food for my fish, RO/DI water for topoff, and regular water changes. I still consider fish poop to be the best fertilizer. ;D

I was just looking throught the supplements on doc fosters page and was wondering if the marc weiss products where worth using like the coral grow blackpowder or coral vital

Save your money, don't waste it on Marc Weiss products. Do a Google search and you'll see that a lot of his products are garbage.

where do you get the zeo stuff from? im not buying anything i was just curious what you guys felt on these products if they are really beneficial to the corals or just smoke you learn from asking

I agree with Matt Marc Weiss products are a waste, for you mike the only thing I'd recommend for now is the seachem reef plus which is amino's, use one capfull per week, if you want to spend the money then definitely go with zeo but it's not cheap.

when you use the reefplus should you shut down your protein skimmer?

I used pretty much the same as wendy.

I dose Coral Amino by brightwell every otherday other then that its two part, magnesium, and water changes and top off.

I do shut down my skimmer when i use it.

NO, all you do is fill the cap and pour it by a powerhead. I like to dose at night with lights off. other than that just add it once a week.
