Cycle worry?

I know these are kind of "duh" questions but I need to be sure.

As you might know, i'm setting up an Oceanic 58. I have had a 20L set up in my kitchen since I brok down the 75 last year. It houses some fish and a decent amount of live rock.

I still have all the sand from my DSB that i had in my 75. It's in an open rubbermade bin that's been by the shed since I took the 75 down. I plan on rinsing the hell out of it and using a couple of inches for the 58.

I guess my question is if I can just add everything from the 20L right into the 58 with the new water/sand and not worry about a cycle? I would think that the water and rock alone would be enough to seed the new system.

I would throw in an instant cycle product just to be safe. The 20L probably had enough beneficial bacteria to handle the 20g but is it enought to handle all the new volume? I would take an extra step.

Any suggestions on said product?

Thanks! So this is added BEFORE I put any cured rock or fish in? Or can i add it along with the rock/fish/water that's in the 20L?

Yes you want to setup the tank, move all the sand and rock you are going to use and then add the bacteria. You want to add something alive to the tank shortly (within 24-48 hours) after adding the bacteria as the bacteria will die if there is not waste in the tank. Cleanup crew or a fish or two would do the trick.
