stupid window well on the one side of my house fills up with water cause I live on a mountain and it comes from up the mountain through the neighbors yard and into my window well for the cellar. I have been out there 6 times already to scoop the water out before it comes into the cellar. Going to be a long night.. I will have to go out there every couple of hours to check on it.. ^*&^*@#$^@*$#@#~~!!!

and Mike...I'm LMAO!

Getting pounded down here too. Over 2 feet of water in my basement floaded my damn heater because the sump pump quit sometime last night. Luckily it's only about 65 in the house right now, and everyone is getting ready to leave for the day. 'Cept me. I'll be going to Lowes for a new sump pump and then wading through 2 feet of ice cold water to get it out of the basement all the while praying I didn't crack the ceramic element in my heater. Luckily, it didn't get high enough to fry the electronic control box again. That thing is over $300!

I hate rain...

 I hope everyone who's having water "issues" will be ok. I can't even imagine living in Lodi right now, has anyone seen what those poor folks are going through?

If this weather continues there will be geese and ducks swimming in my yard in no time, I'm afraid. :(

My dogs haven't gone #2 all day yesterday because those 2 big sissies are afraid to get their feet wet. (both are over 100 lbs. mind you)

My fiancee just left to cross the bridge to SoJo (is that what you all call it? )

Hope she gets there OK.

Once she is south of I-195 she should be just fine. The rain has let up a bit, but the wind gusts are strong.

I just got to work. Looked down Main St. in South Bound Brook on my way in and saw the tops of 3 cars sticking out of what is now part of the Raritan River. The river is so high it went over the canal which runs along side it and then onto the street. It's really a mess. I heard that they evacuated people in Bound Brook last night using boats.

13'' of dirty, soapy, bleach, disgusting water in my basement
what do i find when i went down stairs?
My dad using my NEW Magdrive, mj400, and 900 to pump that disgusting water out of the basement   ::)

I made an attempt to get to work today. No such luck getting from S.Plainfield to Skillman. Haven't seen some of these areas flooded since hurricane floyd.

Hope everyone stays safe. We are dealing with power outages scattered all over the area, mostly from the saturated ground letting go of the trees in the wind.

ON a lighter note, I got my basement pumped out and THANK GOD my heater fired up after I dried it out with a hair dryer. Gotta love Maclane boilers baby! That stoopid control box would have cost me over $400 to replace AGAIN!

Stay in, Stay safe, and STAY DRY! ;D

Holy moly cow! I drove through one big puddle on my way into work, but other than that there's really no indication that there was a big storm through here.

In our old house our basement flooded all the time until we got the basement water proofed. That was the best thing we ever did.

Strat, hopefully your dad will be replacing those pumps for you. Not sure I'd ever be real comfortable ever using them for fish again.

Good luck all!

Your better off Deb. They closed off Easton Ave so I can't even get back on Rt 287 to go home from work if I wanted to. I'm just going to wait it out right now and hope things get a little better later. And yes, this is exactly what it was like in the South Bound Brook area when hurricane floyd hit.

AHHHHHHH the rains not gonna stop

weather.com has got rain comming my way until 1pm...TOMAROW!@#$@#$

will the wood on my stand get messed, things sitting in 2" on water right now.

guess i forgot the basement floods like its going out of style before i put my tank in the basement

What kind of stand is it.. I had my tank just from 10 years of salt water blow out at the corners. I had to get metal corner brackets and attach them all round just to stop the stand from crumbling under the weight of the tank.

I am sure it won't help matters that is for sure..

I made sure awhile ago to get a wet-vac a nice one.. any water, anywhere, anytime.. Gone..
