My devil hand looks great somedays, otherdays he looks like he is going to die. It gets waxy looking and film comes off of it??? This been happing for few weeks now. It's been in same place, med way up and med. flow. Any info will help. Thanks

That's natural for a leather. They get a coating on them then it sheds off. Part of their growing process.

As Mike said it's normal.

It's on the same line as the "molting" process you might see a shrimp do.

Your leather is probably happy and healthy if it's doing that.
