Hello NJ reefers, I'm new here however not new to the hobby. I would like to show my progress if my 90 Gallon tank complete set up with you from sump to stand. I will try to educate and also open to learn as I'm very excited to start transferring my current 55 to my new 90G
We begin with the tank prep and drilled holes.
This was very easy and literally took 5minutes for both holes. I used a 1.75 glass bit to make the holes so the 1"PVC would fit after adding the bulkheads.
Make sure to add a cloth down below where the glass will drop and make a damn out of plumbers putty(stuffs like a $1)
I used a hose to run water constantly so fresh water was hitting the hole. DO NOT apply pressure!
Let the drill do the work.
Wala!
HOLES!!!!
PS: do not drill tapered glass you can tell by looking at the glass with sun glasses on, you will se the difference here
I added the bulkheads and piping with elbows as you can see.
After this was done I realized I purchased a pre owned overflow that was too high for my size tank so unfortunately I had to cut it to size.
My next post will give the brake down of the wall unit stand for the 90 gallon
