I need to buy a float valve, I know they only cost a few dollars but every time I search them on amazon/eBay it shows items costing upwards of $30/40. Could someone point me in the proper direction? Also what pumps do you guys use, I have a 55g so I was looking into buying toms aqualifter

A 110 volt float switch is very expensive….in excess of $60. I would recommend running a low voltage switch through a relay to run the Aqualifter pump. Aquahub makes a nice little kit that comes with everything you’ll need. I used the “premium” kit to make my ATO. And I use an Aqualifter pump to feed the ATO.
