duncans not looking to good

my duncan has been flopped over for the last 2 days and i'm not sure what to do with it.

it ate a green mushroom last week, could that have something to do with it?

no ammonia, no nitrites, nitrates are around 20 but i'm changing 30% of the water today so that should go down.

its a small 4G pico

How long has it been next to the mushroom? They have a pretty good sting themselves. Maybe there is some type of warfare going on.

Yes it will. When I put food on a tentical it closed and took the food in

If it continues to eat then just keep feeding it.
And glad you saw your error the first time and changed that one word. I was about to have a field day... lol

If my Alk levels are not right, the duncan and lobo coral in my tank usually shows it right away. You might want to test that along with Cal & Mag.

I have noticed that for a couple of days a month my duncans will close up or look a little like yours and then I usually see a new head forming. Its possible that you will see another head forming soon. I agree that as long as its eating you are good but def keep an eye on it. I have found duncans to be pretty hardy and hard to kill. My duncans are some of the oldest corals I have and have survived several of my mistakes.

Haha stupid auto correct.... I changed that really fast

Also thanks for the responses guys, I'll be away from the tank for a few days I'm hoping to come back to everything fine.

I'll bring my test kit to work Monday and run a full battery of tests

It looks like it might be sprouting a new head like everyone suggests. it looks almost like it's pinching on the one side, like when mushrooms split.

so I think it was the mushroom that it ate not agreeing with it, I was really hoping it was going to sprout a new head but at least it's healthy.

Thanks for all the help everyone.
